Passion Creek began in January of 2016 in a small downtown Queen Creek movie theater with a simple goal: reach and teach everyone for Jesus. Yet even in those early days, God was planting a deeper vision within us—showing us who He was forming us to be and the work He was calling us to do in Queen Creek.

January 10, 2016 – March 8, 2020

Like most communities, COVID became a deeply formative season for our church. We had to leave the movie theater, figure out what an online church service looked like, and find creative ways to help our people avoid isolation and despair. But God used these changes to push us beyond simply teaching and into intentionally forming a community of resilient disciples shaped not only in our minds, but in our lives.

March 8, 2020 – May 10, 2020

By God’s grace and the generosity of Heart Cry Church, we gathered for evening services in their space. During this time we reshaped our Together Groups and introduced the church to our new vision: to be formed by Jesus, together, for others. We charted out a 3-year roadmap we were going to follow as we walked through 9 core practices from the way of Jesus that we wanted to shape and define our church.

May 17, 2020 – January 29, 2023

In February 2023, we moved into Queen Creek Junior High, stepping into a season of remarkable stability and growth. Over the next three years, Sunday attendance doubled year-by-year, our staff expanded, we launched a second service, and we shaped our community around the 9 core practices of Jesus.

February 5, 2023 – Present Day

In July 2025, God opened the door for us to purchase land, marking our first tangible step toward a permanent spiritual sanctuary in one of America’s fastest-growing cities. While our vision has never been limited to a building, a permanent home will only deepen our ability to become a community of disciples in Queen Creek who are formed by Jesus, together, for others.
